Finally Osama is Going to be Caught...

Apparently, we have finally decided to commit one of our best men to the effort to bring Osama Bin Laden to justice. Who is this man? Why, Batman of course. Frank Miller, the man credited for the revival of Batman (and DC Comics in general) with his much darker envisioning of the mythology, has now decideded to bring back the old tradition of comic book heroes kicking the asses of real life foes. The Golden Age of Comics, which spawned such patriotic darlings as Superman (Left) and captain America (Right) often battled real world villains (as did Bugs Bunny, Popeye, and Donald Duck), was rife with pro-American propaganda and patriotism. Granted this was less a way of promoting patriotism and more along the lines of commercially cashing in on the air of patriotism that permeated society at the time. Is this story of Batman going after Osama going to herald in a new age of heroes in the fictional universes of Marvel and DC taken on more problems that plague us in the real world? I think I'll be picking up comic books for the first time in ages in order to see how this Batman vs. Osama plot line plays out.

Mister Trouble never hangs around
When he hears this Mighty sound.

"Here I come to save the day"

That means that Mighty Mouse is on his way.
Yes sir, when there is a wrong to right
Mighty Mouse will join the fight.
On the sea or on the land,
He gets the situation well in hand.
