Heroes in a Half Shell

Big news. The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles CG movie that I've heard so much about is finally being made. It appears that this one is going to stick much more closely to the original comics. I'm not sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing. On the one hand I don't know if I can really enjoy the turtles without Krang, Bebop, and Rocksteady. On the other hand, have you ever gone back and watched an episode of the original TMNT? I'd hate to say it, but it's pretty unbearable. It's sort of like NeverEnding Story in this regard. No matter how much homoerotic obsession one may have for Atreyu, Bastian is a fucking pansy. What I wouldn't give to take a ride on Falkor, the flying dog thing. In any case, how good or bad this movie is really anyone's guess. Despite it's apparent crappiness now, the original turtles were a big part of my childhood.
